Last month, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ukraine said they were working diligently to establish a visa-free regime with the Gulf countries. The Ministry approved a draft agreement with the Government of the State of Qatar on the mutual abolition of visa requirements.
The relevant decree was approved during government meeting. The decision was approved without discussion. Last month, the Foreign Ministry stated that they are working hard on introducing a visa-free regime with the so-called “Schengen white list” countries – that is, those who have the right to visa-free entry into the EU. “We are working with all countries on the White Schengen list, and I can assure you that the results will be: in particular, we are negotiating with the Gulf states – Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia,” said the Director of the Consular Service MFA of Ukraine Sergey Pogoreltsev.
